COVID19 and the murder of my 19 year old daughter in 2004-Still unsolved

The COVID has been hard but I m trying to get back to her murder. Two new podcasts will be heard in the next month. CASEFILE from Australia is Next weekend June 13. I will post it here. I have completed 20 through 250000 miles through 48 states with more than 300 regional reporters sharing our story. Still no National news and now more than ever we need you to write, email, call National news about us. Thinking of getting an RV and wrapping it if hotels are too chancey. As many know, our main DNA profile led us to someone who is most likely not our killer. This was thru CeCe Moore's analysis!!Thus the parabon Phenotype picture of a Caucasian male is no longer valid. It could be anyone. We have to go over all the old evidence and suspects of all races now.



DO YOU KNOW ME? 15 YEAR COLD CASE AND A "WRONG TURN ' IS DEVASTATING

Do you know me? The Girl Next Door, probably not cuz my murder so common. Like many 18-25 year olds, I was raped/suffocated in middle of night in a 2nd story apartment in Tulsa 2004. Mom thought I was at college classes those nights I didn't return calls. Nobody knew I was dead for 3 days, then buried on my 19th birthday October 4th 2004.

 I am one of million cold cases, often not told in National media cuz not exciting (sic), but shared by passionate podcasters, writers and  330 Regional reporters that mom met as she traveled 240000 miles on 20  Caravan to catch a killer tours for the last 13 years.

I know she fears she will die before my case is solved, especially due to recent changes when crime scene DNA used for 15 years was analyzed through GED match type analysis, and suspect most likely not our killer! Email me at therapoet@aol.com about this information.

MOST DEVASTATING NEWS-DNA PROFILE USED FOR YEARS--NOT OUR KILLER!

I am devastated. After 15 years using a DNA profile from 2 sources that logically seemed our killer, and after we had the Parabon phenotype picture developed, our DNA was analyzed by the best and she found a direct hit. Per protocol, the case was developed to look at him and his DNA obtained in the way it should after there is a hit, and it matched. BUT in the interview with him and two others, it was found, due to airtight alibi, that he couldn't be our killer.

GOD!!!!!!!!!!!This means all suspects we compared our main DNA profile to must be relooked at. This means we do not know if he is Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, Asian etc etc.  IT COULD BE ANYONE! Tulsa Police department c seemed to think it was not important to share much of this information with me like alibi, etc. IF THEY DID I wouldn't have many questions. Past detectives and past head of homicide always shared info with me and told me not to share and I didn't. This current detective treats me as if he doesn't trust me and I have never given him any reason
HOMICDE FAMILIES NEED  INFORMATION, ESPECIALLY LIKE OURS, TO BE SHARED WITH THEM SO THEY CAN UNDERSTAND. ESPECIALLY WHEN A BIG CHANGE OCCURS. OR THEY NEED TO BE TOLD WHY THEY CANNOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION!!! God it is SOOO simple. I have been doing this 15 years and I fully understand  about hurting a case and I train PD and homicide families to understand both sides

18th CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER-MOM'S 210000 MI MISSION OF LOVE FOR ALL DAUGHTERS

16TH CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER-MOM''S 185000 MI. MISSION OF LOVE-NOW NEW PHASE W/DNA PHENOTYPE IMAGE OF POSSIBLE SUSPECT

 

I am on my 16th CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER  tour's, currently visiting Odessa, TX. These tours are now my 14 year labor of love in honor of murdered daughter, Brittany Phillips (raped/suffocated Tulsa, OK 2004 --10-4-85 to 10-4-04).  (going to El Paso next)

 

 

Tour 16 is the inaugural tour with hood re-wrapped with our new DNA phenotype 3-D image of Brittany's possible killer . Though tours started to: 

*help solve her murder

*educate communities about sexual assault/homicide law change

*giving voice to  unsolved homicides across the US

 

THIS TOUR introduces how  a new forensic tool,  DNA 3-D phenotype image that has given our case new life. Not many PDs are using this yet.  My detective was able to get a grant, submit crime scene DNA to  Parabon Snapshot and within 3 months received an image. Tulsa media coverage of the image generated more than 45 tips in 48 hours

 

Visiting Odessa/other Texas cities  is important for my 16th road trip, (10 years, 185000 miles thru 48 States with 165 media stories in 48 States in  3 different wrapped SUVs) because Odessa and other Texas cities are connected to Oklahoma through crisscross of our highways and because large Border States with vast wilderness can create refuge for criminals. 

 

  CARAVANS were birthed when , regionally in 2007, more than 800 suspects DNA did not match our crime scene DNA (since then 3000 regional suspects & a million in CODIS with no match). Some suggested her killer may have moved on.  I knew I had to get her story beyond OK. Through the unbelievable donation of a wrap to my car (now 3 wraps), CARAVANS BEGAN.

  

It is my hope, now with an image, as I cover the US again, this picture will increase tips.

In each city, I talk to media, stop by police and Sherriff departments, travel around the city talking to people. Along with topics described above, now in the #METOO era, I am pleading for  # HERTOO-(sexual homicide victims that no longer have voice) to get more attention, especially related to laws.

 

These 14 years are a labor of love woven through tears . People met at rest stops, hugs given, thumbs up as someone drives by, people sharing prayers from many different religions or a $20 squeezed into my closed fist, all energize me to keep on. Gazing upon Brittany's smile each day as I step into my car, does, at times, have me tell her story through a veil of tears. Yet it warms my heart knowing Brittany, my dancing pony princess, her long blond curls framing her angelic face, and intense dark brown eyes, stares from the sides of my car, in many ways saying "listen to my story, help protect other families from this never ending loss".

Thank you Phoenix for all your kind words when I stopped somewhere. I have been here 3 days. No media responded to me so I must move on but I do thank those who acknowledged me. That made my day. On to San Diego. I am trying not to be sad but only 3 stories in 3 weeks is disheartening and makes me feel forgotten. We used to get 3-5 each week. If I could travel for as long as I wanted, this would not matter. But a week out cost me almost $1000 so 4 weeks out costs $4000. I never mind spending my own money but funds are limited. So $1000 per story is pretty high... I AM SORRY BRITTY. I KEEP TRYING.

Didn't remember until now,. Found this song on my 2011-12 CARAVAN. WHENEVER YOU REMEMBER" (Carrie Underwood) has been my "WARRIOR SONG" ever since. I need it now. In OK City, headin out on another 2 weeks after out 15 days/2 great stories in Tampa and HOuston but only 2... Was to head east. Thought had a story in IN but no-go. AND storms up again. Tho rain leaving OK, storms are heading east. Sooo my travel South I will travel with storms for days if I go the KY/Indiana WV NY NE route. Trying to decide...east or west. Any ideas? Any story connections in ANY direction?????
