TIRED, SAD, MEMORIAL MOVES SLOW, BUT I MOVE ON

Thank you Phoenix for all your kind words when I stopped somewhere. I have been here 3 days. No media responded to me so I must move on but I do thank those who acknowledged me. That made my day. On to San Diego. I am trying not to be sad but only 3 stories in 3 weeks is disheartening and makes me feel forgotten. We used to get 3-5 each week. If I could travel for as long as I wanted, this would not matter. But a week out cost me almost $1000 so 4 weeks out costs $4000. I never mind spending my own money but funds are limited. So $1000 per story is pretty high... I AM SORRY BRITTY. I KEEP TRYING.

CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER TOUR #15

Albuquerque/ Sante Fe THANK YOU. You have been great at rest stops, downtown, on the road...letting me know you saw us, asked abut our story. And today Channel 13 spent time downtown with me, giving us the gift of a story. It will either air tonight or tomorrow. The two times I have been here I always feel welcomed. And to all the people on I-40 driving to Phoenix--at rest stops and stores. Your coming up to me, offering hugs, prayers etc. ALL truly made my day. I am forever grateful

Didn't remember until now,. Found this song on my 2011-12 CARAVAN. WHENEVER YOU REMEMBER" (Carrie Underwood) has been my "WARRIOR SONG" ever since. I need it now. In OK City, headin out on another 2 weeks after out 15 days/2 great stories in Tampa and HOuston but only 2... Was to head east. Thought had a story in IN but no-go. AND storms up again. Tho rain leaving OK, storms are heading east. Sooo my travel South I will travel with storms for days if I go the KY/Indiana WV NY NE route. Trying to decide...east or west. Any ideas? Any story connections in ANY direction?????

TODAY or call/email NATIONAL NEWS (THIS WOULD BE THE BEST MOTHER'S DAY GIFT!!!).Ask if aware of mother driving self-funded 166000 MILES cross country getting 155 stories FOR LAST 10 YRS IN HONOR OF HER DAUGHTER, IN WRAPPED SUVS--....MAYBE CREATE A PHONE BANK WITH FRIENDS..............WOULDN'T THIS BE A MOTHER'S DAY STORY???.

 

ST. PETE/TAMPA STORY...THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

What a great gift from St. Pete. What a great time in St. Pete/Tampa--at the beaches, downtown St. Pete, Ybor City and more and amid letting people know about Britty's murder, needed law change and reaching out to other homicide survivors, I was able to see Joshua (wh babysat dogs while doing story. WHAT A GREAT TEAM Chris Cato and Photog Kevin. THEY GAVE US A TRUE GIFT. THANK YOU GUYS AND THANK YOU BAY AREA!!!

DAY IN LIFE OF CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER TOUR

A day in the life of CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER tour. 1) Prior to driving to city-go to TV websitest, read all bios of that city 2) Send out emails to individuals a) with heading "15TH CARAVAN TO CATCH A KILLER-MOTHER'S 13YR/164000 MILE MISSION OF LOVE" incldued--brief history of murder/CARAVANs, focus on that State DNA issues, along w/ personal statement about reporter. 3) Usually 20-30 emails prior to city visit 4) Drive 4-8 hrs to town, stop every rest stop, 5) In town drive public places-parks, PD, courts, lunch hours etc This done sometimes with media 6) That eve more emails to city I'm in and to next city on road 7) next day leave to next city or if we had story stay in town to get more people to car. BASICALLY 10 HR WORK DAY EVERY DAY ON ROAD

What a great gift was blown in by winds that followed me to Houston. Angela Chen and her photographer spent more than an hour with me getting material to craft their story about Brittany and the CARAVAN at the FOX26 Station. The end result was a passionate, powerful poignant story. Their artistry created a story that had focus on the important aspects of CARAVAN tours. How impressive and what a great way to start the 15th CARAVAN tour. Angela, her photographer and FOX26 will always have a place in my heart. And today I have already had about 1000 hits on this website and multiple honks, waves and people coming up to me.

First day on road was ddeluges from Lawton to Tulsa. 2nd day deluge for 1st three hours but finally across Texas border towards Houston, sun began to shine. In Houston now, with possibility of story from ABC. If you see my car...honk and call media.....Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
